| Notes | - Eddington plan could have been surveyed by either Moses Greenleaf or Ebenezer Greenleaf.
- Eddington was named after Colonel Jonathan Eddy, a militia captain in the French and Indian Wars and a colonel in the American Revolutionary War. He was also the first magistrate of the town of Eddington. In 1784 he established a settlement in the eastern bank of the Penobscot River that became Eddington, Maine. He died there in 1804.
